Ivy's bail upheld

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Sunday upheld bail granted to former Narayanganj City Corporation mayor Selina Hayat Ivy in all 12 cases, including the final two cases linked to the July Uprising of 2024, paving the way for her release from jail.

Chamber Judge of the Appellate Division Justice Md Rezaul Haque passed no order after hearing separate leave-to-appeal petitions filed by the state seeking a stay on the bail orders granted by the High Court in the last two cases.
