NOAKHALI, May 20: The Vice-Chancellor of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) has said that effective measures will be taken to resolve session jam and further improve the university's academic and co-curricular environment.

"There may be differences of opinion among us, but everyone must work together in the interest of the university," VC Prof Dr Golam Rabbani said while addressing a meeting with class representatives (CRs) of all undergraduate and postgraduate semesters on Tuesday.

The meeting was held at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mohammad Ruhul Amin Auditorium on the university campus.

Prof Rabbani said the university would take steps to advance its current position in education, research and co-curricular activities. He also assured that problems faced by students would be addressed gradually.

He added that implementation of the Academic Building-3 project would help resolve most infrastructural constraints on campus.

The VC further highlighted a range of planned initiatives, including ensuring safe drinking water at two locations on campus, introducing a cashless campus system, launching e-cars, resolving transport shortages and improving campus beautification.

At the end of the interactive session, he sought cooperation from students and stakeholders in taking the university forward and appreciated students' suggestions.
NSTU Treasurer Prof Dr Mohammad Hanif Murad and Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Rezaunul Haque also spoke at the programme.
The session was moderated by Director (acting) of the Student Counselling and Guidance Office Dr SM Sohel Rana. Teachers, students and journalists from different departments were present.
