Political high-ups set to celebrate Eid across country

Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman will join thousands of devotees to offer the holy Eid-ul-Adha prayers at the National Eidgah in the capital.

Several other high-ranking leaders, including BNP Standing Committee member Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Political Adviser Nazrul Islam Khan, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, and Social Welfare Minister Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, are also scheduled to celebrate Eid in Dhaka.

A significant number of cabinet members and senior political leaders will travel to their respective constituencies for the festivities. BNP Secretary General and LGRD Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will offer prayers in Thakurgaon, while Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury will celebrate in Chattogram.

Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi is set to perform his Eid prayers in the Dhanmondi area of the capital.

National Assembly Speaker Hafizuddin Ahmed and Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal will spend the day in Bhola and Netrokona, respectively. Following the prayers, party leaders are expected to pay respects at the graves of former President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

Meanwhile, leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami have also finalized their Eid locations. Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer of the party and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, is currently in Saudi Arabia to perform the Holy Hajj.

Other senior leaders, including Nayeb-e-Amir ATM Azharul Islam and Professor Mujibur Rahman, will remain in Dhaka, while Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar will celebrate in Khulna. Assistant Secretaries General including Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan and Dr. AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad will observe the day in Sirajganj and Dhaka, respectively.
