Mother, 2 daughters among 4 killed in Netrokona road accident

A woman and her two daughters, along with another person were killed when a bus smashed a battery-run autorickshaw in Netrakona's Sadar upazila on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Nurjahan Begum, 40, her elder daughter Smriti Akter, 16, and younger daughter Iti Akter, 10, and autorickshaw driver Rehan Mia. 

They were the residents of Amli Keshabpur village under Rouha union of Sadar upazila, Netrakona Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Al Mamun confirmed.

According to locals, around 11:30AM, a Netrakona-bound bus rammed into an autorickshaw when it reached Challisha Bypass area, leaving three dead on the spot and three others injured.

Later, injured were taken to Mymensing Medical College Hospital where Rehan Mia died while undergoing treatment.
