Ex-MP Abdul Matin buried with state honour

KULAURA, MOULVIBAZAR, June 2: Former MP from Moulvibazar-2 (Kulaura) Constituency and freedom fighter Md Abdul Matin was given a state funeral.

His first Namaz-e-Janaza was held on Nabin Chandra Government High School ground in the Kulaura town on Tuesday at 11 am.
 
Before this, he was given a guard of honour led by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Anisul Islam. His second Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Hazrat Bibimai (RH) Mokam in Joychandi Union. After the funeral, he was buried in the graveyard there.

Earlier, Abdul Matin breathed his last at his residence in Mirpur, Dhaka on Monday noon. He was 81.

He was elected as an independent candidate in the 10th parliamentary election in 2014.
