State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj on Wednesday said the government is working to bring all English medium schools in the country under a unified policy framework to ensure quality education, accountability, student safety and the protection of national interests.

He made the remarks during a visit to The Aga Khan Academy Dhaka, where he toured a student exhibition showcasing research projects, innovations and creative presentations.

"The government is working to build a unified and accountable framework to ensure quality education for all students in the country," he said.

According to the State Minister, the initiative aims to establish common standards across English medium institutions while ensuring the quality of teaching and learning.

"We want to build an education system where students not only do well in examinations, but also learn to think, innovate and lead," he said.

"Today's students will lead the Bangladesh of tomorrow. Therefore, one of our main goals is to equip them with world class skills, values and creativity."

Bobby Hajjaj said the government is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for students across all streams of education.

"We want an education system where, regardless of whether students study in Bangla medium, English version or English medium institutions, everyone has equal opportunities to acquire national values, civic responsibility and internationally recognised skills," he said.

During the visit, the State Minister praised the academy's modern teaching methods, student centred learning approach and leadership development programmes.

He also stressed the need to expand research, innovation and creative learning initiatives across educational institutions nationwide.

Teachers, students and officials of The Aga Khan Academy Dhaka were present during the visit.
