Workshop on village court held at Dhanbari

MADHUPUR, TANGAIL, June 4: A workshop to raise awareness about village courts was held in the Dhanbari Upazila Parishad meeting room on Wednesday at the initiative of the Local Government Department, and it was organised by the Upazila Administration.

Dhanbari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nurjahan Akhter Sathi chaired the opening ceremony and delivered a welcome speech.

Dhanbari Upazila Coordinator of Village Court Md Abdul Latif presented the workshop, and Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Dil Afroz, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the police station Nurus Salam Siddique and Village Court Tangail District Coordinator Mahfuza Rahman and others spoke at the workshop.

The workshop provided an idea about the categories of civil and criminal cases adjudicated in the Village Court with reference to the Village Court Rules 2006 and 2016.
