Prime Bank launches entrepreneurship development training in Natore

To strengthen the inclusive economic and capability development of small and medium entrepreneurs and promote inclusive economic development, Prime Bank PLC has recently inaugurated a month-long Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) in Natore. 

The training programme has been launched with the support of the SME and Special Programmes Department (SMESPD) of Bangladesh Bank under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (SICIP) project, says a press release. 

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Md. Masum Billah, Programme Director (PD) and Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank, as the Chief Guest. Mohammad Wasim, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank and Deputy Program Director of SICIP, attended the event as the Special Guest.

The program was chaired by Md. Abdul Halim, Regional Head of Prime Bank PLC. Also present at the event were Sheikh Nur Alam, Head of SME Business and Refinance at Prime Bank, along with other senior officials of the bank.

A total of 25 promising young entrepreneurs from the Natore region are participating in the programme. 

Through this training programme, participating entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to develop essential knowledge and practical skills in business planning, financial management, marketing strategies, bookkeeping, accessing banking services, digital financial transactions, and effective business management. 

Upon completion of the programme, participants will be better equipped to engage with the formal banking system, enabling them to expand their businesses and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
