Waterlogging hits Gopalganj

Gopalganj municipality is devastated with waterlogging in several areas following continuous rainfall over the past few days.

Rainwater has entered many residential houses, forcing habitants to move through dirty water. Insufficient drainage and water discharge systems have caused severe suffering for the locals. 

The affected areas include Poddarer Char, Nilar Math, Gobra, Miapara and Nichupara, along with several other parts of the municipality.

Rainwater has entered most houses in these areas. More than 100 families are stranded due to the disaster. 

Some places have no drainage system while others are clogged with garbage. Resulting in overflow onto the roads.

In several places, the water has also entered homes, making them unfit for living.
