Three more children died from measles or with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of fatalities to 750.
During the same period, no death from dengue was reported. However, 68 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) daily report released on Friday.
A total of 128 new confirmed measles cases were detected during that period, while another 901 people were reported to have developed measles symptoms. Since March 15, the country has recorded 13,326 laboratory-confirmed measles cases while suspected measles cases to 109,899 since March 15.
DGHS report also said that of the 68 dengue patients admitted to hospitals during the reporting period,
34 were from the Dhaka Division, one from Mymensingh Division, 21 from Chattogram Division, 10 from Khulna Division, and two from Barishal Division.
A total of 649 dengue patients are currently undergoing treatment in hospitals nationwide.
As of July 10 this year, Bangladesh has recorded 7,815 dengue cases, while 7,142 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, the DGHS report added.
