European giants France and Spain are set to clash in the high-voltage World-Cup semi-final on Tuesday night at 1:00AM which is actually on Thursday. Both of the teams have been unstoppable throughout the tournament.

Although Spain had their hiccup against Cabo Verde, the team has shown extraordinary performance in the tournament. They have conceded only one goal in this tournament, showing remarkable achievement.

On the other hand, France has been outstanding throughout the tournament. They are considered as one of the top favorites for the title.

Many describe this battle between two of the tournament’s best teams as a "final before the final." The two sides have contrasting football philosophies. France excels in fast-paced counter-attacks. Spain believes in ball possession and controlled football.

France has not faced a major test before reaching the last four. Captain Kylian Mbappé leads their all-star attack. He has already scored eight goals in six matches.

Mbappé is a top contender for the Golden Boot. Morover, he is supported by Bayern Munich star Michael Olise, Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembélé, and the PSG duo Bradley Barcola and Désiré Doué.

Under Luis de la Fuente, Spain has reached the semi-finals with a calm approach. They rely on their trademark ball possession, tactical attacks, and a talented squad.

Spain defeated France 5-4 in a thrilling UEFA Nations League match last year. They also won 2-1 in the Euro 2024 semi-final before eventually winning the title.

The two nations have met 38 times in total. Spain holds a clear advantage with 18 wins. France has won 13 times, while 7 matches ended in a draw.

Since the start of the 2018 World Cup, Spain has lost only one of their 27 matches in major tournaments (16 wins, 10 draws). They have been unbeaten in 14 matches since their 2-1 defeat to Japan in the 2022 World Cup.

Will France’s lightening paced counter-attacks will break through Spain’s disciplined defense, or will Spain’s controlling football decide the result of the match? Only time will tell.
