Seven more people have died across the country in the last 24 hours due to measles and its associated symptoms. while 990 new cases were reported. With these latest figures, the total death toll from measles and its complications has reached 766.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) provided this information in a press release on Tuesday (July 14). The data covers the period up to 8:00AM today.
According to the DGHS, one person died from measles in Dhaka during the last 24 hours.
Additionally, six others died from symptoms related to the disease. Of these, four were in Dhaka and two in Sylhet.
In the same timeframe, 122 new cases of measles were confirmed nationwide, bringing the total number of confirmed patients to 13,735.
Furthermore, 868 people exhibited symptoms of measles in the last 24 hours. For this reason, total number of suspected patients has risen to 113,244.
