10 injured in AC explosion at Gulistan salon

The injured were admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery for treatment.

The victims are customers Md Faruk, 35, Rinku, 30, Rony, 36, Jasim, 40, and Rafik, 25, alongwith salon workers Shamshed, 30, Raju, 34, Pappu, 26, Sakib, 17, and Arman, 37.

Dr. Shawon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon at the institute, said Md Faruk suffered burn wounds of 50 per cent of his body, Rinku over 21 per cent, Rony 10 per cent, Jasim 8 per cent, Rafik 12 per cent, Shamshed 15 per cent, Raju 18 per cent, Pappu 18 per cent, Sakib 1 per cent, and Arman 15 per cent.

Among the injured, Sakib was discharged after receiving primary treatment, while the remaining nine victims are undergoing treatment.

The cause of the explosion is yet to be officially determined.
