HSC students have staged a sit-in in front of the Secretariat with the demand resignation of the Education Minister. Students gathered there after marching from different areas of the capital. Law enforcement agencies remain on high alert to maintain control.

Earlier, at 2:30PM, the agitating students blocked the Science Lab intersection. This halted all vehicular movement. The protesters declared they would not stop until the minister steps down. They later cleared the Science Lab intersection and marched towards the Secretariat.

According to previous announcements, HSC examinees gathered in front of Uttara's BNS Center at 1:30 pm. They blocked the road and chanted slogans demanding the minister's resignation.

Protesters alleged that although Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milan apologized for his derogatory remarks, he did not address their core demands. The students are demanding rescheduled exams for Physics First Paper and Accounting First Paper.

Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister, Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milan expressed regret during the budget session of the National Parliament yesterday. He said, ‘Many have objected to my personal remarks. I did not mean to hurt anyone intentionally. Still, if my words have hurt anyone, I express my regrets.’
