610 small farmers get farm support at Kaptai

RANGAMATI, July 15: A total of 610 small and marginal farmers in Kaptai Upazila of Rangamati received agricultural inputs under the government's 2025-26 agricultural rehabilitation programme on Tuesday.

The assistance included tree saplings, lemon saplings, summer vegetable seeds, organic fertiliser, bamboo stakes, and chemical fertilisers to support farming and tree plantation.

The inputs were distributed on the Kaptai Upazila Agriculture Office premises, where Kaptai Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Raihanul Islam inaugurated the National Fruit Fair as the chief guest.

The event was chaired by Kaptai Upazila Agriculture Officer Ahsan Habib. Former Kaptai Upazila Parishad chairman Dildar Hossain attended it as a special guest.

Leaders of the local Krishak Dal, field-level officials of the Department of Agricultural Extension, and farmers were also present.
Earlier, the guests inaugurated the National Fruit Fair and visited its stalls.
