Mithamoin BNP president hacked to death near his house
Mithamoin upazila BNP president Jahidul Alam Jahangir was hacked to death by unidentified assailants in Kishoreganj on Wednesday night.
The attack took place approximately 10PM while he was entering his Baganbari at Beribandh area of the upazila.
Jahidul was rescued by the local residents and rushed to the 250-bed Kishoreganj General Hospital. From there, he was shifted to Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead at 12midnight.
Mithamoin Police Station OC Monwar Hossain said that one was detained in connection with the attack incident. "Our drive is on to arrest the other culprits."
