Aamir Khan gets death threat
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has reportedly received another death threat following controversies surrounding his third marriage to Gauri Spratt, with Indian media reports claiming that a message issued in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang circulated on social media.
The latest threat comes days after Ayodhya-based religious leader Jagatguru Paramhans Acharya allegedly announced a reward of Rs 5 crore for anyone who kills the actor. He also claimed that he would bear the legal expenses of the person involved.
The statement triggered widespread controversy across India. Acharya accused Aamir Khan’s marriage of promoting what he described as “love jihad”, though several Indian media reports later stated that Gauri Spratt is a Christian, not a Muslim. Aamir has also said that his personal relationships and marriage have no connection with religion.
Amid the ongoing controversy, an audio message and social media posts allegedly issued in the name of the Bishnoi gang surfaced, threatening Aamir Khan. However, the authenticity of the threats has not yet been verified.
According to Indian media reports, Mumbai Police are examining the matter and verifying the source of the alleged threat messages.
Aamir Khan recently married Gauri Spratt at his residence in Mumbai’s Bandra under the Special Marriage Act. Following the marriage, Maharashtra BJP leader Nitesh Rane criticised the actor, raising the “love jihad” issue. Several Hindu nationalist groups also staged protests against him.
