From the moment the final whistle blew late on Wednesday night, Facebook and Instagram were flooded with celebratory posts, reels and videos from actors, musicians and filmmakers rejoicing over Lionel Messi's side reaching another World Cup final.
Among the most talked-about reactions came from actress Porimoni. Before kick-off, she had jokingly promised, "If Argentina win the World Cup, I'll get married again after the final."
After England captain Harry Kane failed to stop Argentina's march to the final, the actress returned with another humorous post, writing, "Harry Kane, you couldn't stop my wedding after all!"
While actor Omar Sani and television personality Shahriar Nazim Joy were already exchanging playful remarks online over Messi and football rivalries, actor Chanchal Chowdhury also joined the celebrations with a football-themed meme.
Sharing an edited scene from a popular Bangladeshi film, he replaced the face of an unconscious character with that of England striker Harry Kane, while another character appeared to plead for him to score.
