Outgoing Navy chief calls on President

Outgoing Navy Chief Admiral Hasan paid a courtesy call on President Md Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban on Tuesday afternoon.

During the meeting, Admiral Hasan thanked the President for his support during his tenure and briefed him on the Bangladesh Navy's overall development activities.

The President, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, thanked the outgoing Navy chief for his successful and efficient service and praised his contribution to the development of the force.

He also expressed hope that the Bangladesh Navy's ongoing development would continue.

Secretaries from the President's Office were present at the meeting.

Admiral M Nazmul Hasan is scheduled to hand over charge to the new Navy chief on July 23.
