SukherKhamar hands over land deeds to 1,000 shareholders

The land deeds were distributed at the company’s grand “Founders’ Night 2026” programme held on Saturday night (July 25) at the Marriott Convention Hall in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. Company Chairman Md Tasdikh Habib and Managing Director Jobair Islam formally handed over the documents to the shareholders.
The event was attended by State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque, MP, as the chief guest. The programme was also joined by the company’s four advisers, members of its 40-member advisory committee and media representatives.
Speaking at the event, State Minister Aminul Haque said the government is working to create employment opportunities and encourage entrepreneurship through innovative initiatives. He said initiatives like SukherKhamar could contribute to expanding opportunities in different sectors and assured continued support for such projects.
Chairman Md Tasdikh Habib said the founding shareholders are not just investors but the owners, founders and patrons of the project. He said honouring their trust remains the company’s primary responsibility.
Managing Director Jobair Islam said the project aims to create more than a farm or resort, describing it as a model that can transform rural communities while generating sustainable business opportunities.
At the programme, the organisers announced that the share value of SukherKhamar Agro Village has increased from Tk295,000 to Tk345,000, effective from July 2026. They said the rise reflects the project’s progress and increased asset value within one and a half years of its launch.
The programme also featured the distribution of share certificates, agreements and lifetime membership certificates of the SukherKhamar Foundation among the founding shareholders.
According to the organisers, the project follows the Shariah-based Musharaka partnership model, allowing shareholders to receive legal ownership of land along with ownership interests in the farm and resort through registered land deeds.
They said more than 2,000 visitors have already visited the project site in the last one and a half years, even before the full-scale resort became operational. Over 900 guests have stayed overnight, while seven international travellers have also visited the site.
The project has reportedly generated a Tk10 million local economy in Bagail village, created employment opportunities for 40 people and helped 10 women become financially independent through the “SukherHashi” initiative.
The company’s future plans include developing a 100-room international-standard agro-resort, a Jame Mosque and a Hifzia Orphan Madrasa.
