UAE President thanks BD for solidarity after Iranian attacks

President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has expressed his appreciation for Bangladesh's solidarity with the UAE following the Iranian attacks on the country. 

In a letter to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Nahyan reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to further strengthening its longstanding partnership with Bangladesh, with a particular focus on expanding cooperation in the economic, developmental and humanitarian sectors, according to a UAE Embassy press release.

He thanked Bangladesh for its support during the difficult period and expressed condolences over the deaths of two Bangladeshi nationals living in the UAE who were among the victims of the attacks.

Nahyan conveyed his deepest sympathies to the victims' families and the people of Bangladesh.

The UAE President also expressed his interest in paying an official visit to Bangladesh at the earliest opportunity. He acknowledged Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's invitation and said he looked forward to further deepening the partnership between the two friendly countries.

The UAE and Bangladesh enjoy strong bilateral relations based on mutual respect, close friendship and a shared commitment to regional peace, stability and prosperity.
