Actress Rina Rahman passes away

The news of her death was confirmed by actor and director Anubhab Mahbub, who shared a photograph of the actress on his Facebook account late Monday night and announced her passing.

According to sources, Rina Rahman had been suffering from multiple health complications for a long time. Despite her illness, she continued acting regularly, but her deteriorating condition had forced her to step away from work in recent months.

Until shortly before her death, she was appearing in the popular television drama series "Parampara." 

However, due to her health, she had been unable to participate regularly in the show's filming.

Rina Rahman earned widespread acclaim for portraying a wide range of memorable characters in television dramas, films, and stage productions. Among her most notable works are the iconic Bangladesh Television (BTV) drama series "Sangsaptak" (1987), the popular serial "Man Abhiman," and the feature films "Thikana" (1994) and "Ghani" (2006).

Her death has prompted an outpouring of grief from colleagues, admirers, and members of Bangladesh's arts and entertainment community.
