Local administration has taken extensive security measures in Gopalganj to prevent any untoward incidents and maintain overall law and order.
Security has been tightened in key areas of the town with deployment of five platoon Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members, alongside district police and other law enforcement agencies.
Additional police forces have been deployed at major roads, intersections, key government installations, and public gathering spots across the district. Intelligence surveillance has been intensified, and continuous patrolling is underway. Law enforcement agencies are fully prepared to tackle any situation.
Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner Md. Arif-uz-Zaman confirmed the deployment of the BGB and other security forces to maintain law and order. He told journalists that various programs have been organized to observe "July Uprising Day" tomorrow, August 5.
He added that various steps have been taken to ensure the peaceful execution of these programs. The DC noted that BGB troops will remain deployed until August 15 to prevent any deterioration of the district's overall law and order situation.
