NLI settles Tk 3.683m insurance claims within one hour

National Life Insurance PLC (NLI) has settled insurance claims worth a total of Tk 3,683,861 for two customers within one hour against their matured insurance policies. 

The claim cheques were handed over by the company's Chief Executive Officer, Md Kazim Uddin, to customers Liton Molla and Lipi Akter at a ceremony held at the company's head office, NLI Tower, in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka, on Monday (August 3). 

According to a press release issued by the company, Liton Molla, a Saudi Arabia-based businessman from Birampur in Dohar upazila of Dhaka district, and his wife Lipi Akter, who runs a clinic business, had purchased separate insurance policies from National Life. Upon the maturity of the two policies, cheques amounting to a total of Tk 3,683,861 were handed over to them within one hour.
