12 senior DMP officers transferred

Twelve senior officers of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), including additional deputy police commissioners and assistant police commissioners, have been transferred in two separate orders.
The orders, signed by DMP Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters and Administration) Md Shahriar Ali, were issued on Thursday (August 6).
Under the orders, officers have been transferred to various divisions, including Traffic Tejgaon, Traffic Mirpur, Lalbagh, Transport, Logistics, Protection, Gulshan, Women Support and Investigation, POM-West and Detective Cyber and Special Crime North.
Among them, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tania Sultana has been transferred from Traffic Tejgaon Division to the P&R Division, while Additional Deputy Commissioner Ehsanul Kamran Tanvir has been moved to Traffic Tejgaon Division.
Assistant Police Commissioner Anish Kirtaniya has been transferred from Lalbagh Division to the Transport Division, while Sudipto Kumar Biswas has been moved to the Equipment section of the Logistics Division.
In the second order, Assistant Police Commissioner Mushfiqur Rahman Tushar has been posted to Lalbagh Division’s Chawkbazar Zone, while Tania Sultana has been transferred from Traffic Mirpur Division to the Women Support and Investigation Division.
Other officers have also been transferred to POM-West, Protection, Traffic Mirpur, Gulshan and Detective Cyber and Special Crime North divisions.
The order said the seven transferred assistant police commissioners would be relieved of their current responsibilities on Thursday to join their new assignments.
