Employees may get the opportunity to enjoy four consecutive days off later this month by combining a casual or optional leave with the upcoming public holiday.

A public holiday has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, to mark Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). However, the date is subject to the sighting of the moon.

If the holiday falls on August 26 as scheduled, employees can take one day of casual or optional leave on Thursday, August 27, and combine it with the weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday (August 28-29) to enjoy a four-day break.

Government, semi-government, autonomous, and semi-autonomous institutions observe a public holiday on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). Many private-sector organizations also grant a holiday on the day.

However, the extended holiday benefit will not apply to employees working in essential services, where normal duties are expected to continue.
