It has been six years since the passing away of the legendary Bangladeshi music director and composer Alauddin Ali, but his melodies are still very much alive within hearts of music lovers.
Alauddin Ali passed away due to cancer on August 9, 2020. Even nowadays, the vacuum left behind by him is felt deeply within the fields of music and films of Bangladesh.
Over his career, Ali composed many unforgettable songs. His memorable songs are “Keu Kono Din Amare To Kotha Dilo Na,” “O Amar Bangla Ma Tor,” “Emono To Prem Hoy,” “Jetuku Shomoy Tumi Thako Kache” and “Ei Duniya Ekhon To Aar Shei Duniya Nai.”
Even while suffering from cancer, the health condition of Ali improved at a time which sparked hope of his comeback into the field of music. During the pandemic of coronavirus as well, he used to plan musical ventures while sitting at home.
Apart from song compositions, the legacy of Ali as a music director in the field of Bangladeshi films is unforgettable. His creativity and varied compositions made his place in the history of music legends of Bangladesh.
On August 9, the sixth death anniversary of Alauddin Ali was observed.
