BAU launches new software, mobile app

MYMENSINGH, Aug 11: Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) has officially launched two new software and a mobile app at the Vice-Chancellor (VC) Secretariat of the BAU on Tuesday morning.

Organised by the ICT Cell, the inaugural ceremony was presided over by the ICT Cell Director Prof Dr Md Rostam Ali and VC Professor Dr AK Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan was present as the chief guest.

These three services are a system for online processing of Master’s examination bills and honorarium related activities, a modern system for completing the PhD admission process online, and BAU’s digital e-diary app for iOS users.

VC Professor Dr AK Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan said that through these initiatives, the academic and administrative service process of BAU will be much faster, transparent and expedited than before. 

The ceremony was addressed by Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof Dr GM Mujibur Rahman, VC of Khulna Agricultural University Prof Dr Md Asaduzzaman Sarkar, Student Affairs Adviser Prof Dr Md Shahidul Haque, Coordinator Prof Dr Md Shamsul Alam, Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Joardar Faruk Ahmed, Director of BAURES Prof Dr Md Hammadur Rahman, Registrar Agriculturist Dr Md Helal Uddin and Treasurer Prof Dr Humayun Kabir.

ICT Cell Director Prof Dr Md Rostam Ali said that this service will open a new horizon in the teaching and administrative activities of the university.
