11 institutions under Jashore Board record zero pass

JASHORE, Aug 11: Eleven educational institutions under the Jashore Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board recorded a zero pass rate in this year's SSC examinations, while all students of 36 institutions passed.

Jashore Board Controller of Examinations Prof SM Hossain Ali confirmed the information.

According to Board data, all 7 students who appeared from Naisha Secondary School in Satkhira failed. Four students each from Godara Secondary School in Ashashuni, Sahebkhali Siddiq Gazi Secondary School in Shyamnagar and Baburabad Dhapukhali Secondary School in Debhata also failed.

In Khulna, all four examinees from Katenga Secondary School in Dumuria and four from Asma Sarwar Islamic High School in Khalishpur failed. In Bagerhat, none of the two students from DN Ekta Girls High School in Sharankhola passed.

In Jashore, three students from Chandua Samashkati Girls High School in Monirampur, one from Helanchi Krishnabati Secondary Girls School, two from Saratala Junior Girls High School in Sharsha and one from Muktijoddha GKG Secondary Girls School also failed.

The board is taking the zero-pass results seriously, Prof Hossain said.

“The 11 institutions will be served show-cause notices immediately. If academic weaknesses or negligence by teachers are found, action will be taken under the rules. If necessary, cancellation of the institutions’ recognition will also be considered,” he said.
