Dhaka on high alert ahead of Aug 15

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has tightened security across the capital ahead of August 15, deploying specialised units including SWAT, bomb disposal and K-9 teams at key points to prevent  any untoward incidents.
In a press release on Friday, DMP Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Niaz Mehedi said the DMP has adopted a comprehensive, multi-layered security plan to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of Dhaka dwelers ahead of August 15. 
The entire capital has been brought under heightened security to address any potential threat to public safety.
