Three AL leaders arrested in Satkhira

Police have arrested three leaders of the Awami League and its affiliated organisations in Satkhira, including district organising secretary Kazi Akhter Hossain.

The arrests were made during separate drives in different parts of the town on Saturday (August 15).

The other two are former president of the banned Chhatra League’s Satkhira municipal unit Sheikh Mostafizur Rahman Shovon and district general secretary of the Tanti League Sheikh Alamgir Hossain.

Satkhira Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Masudur Rahman said the three were wanted in connection with cases filed against them.

They were later sent to court after completion of the legal procedures.
