Three more people have died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll from measles and suspected symptoms to 925 since March 15.

According to official figures, 99 people died of confirmed measles, while 826 succumbed to measles-like symptoms.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) released the update in a press bulletin on Thursday, covering the 24-hour period from 8:00 AM Wednesday to 8:00 AM Thursday.

Over the past day, two deaths were recorded in Dhaka division and one in Sylhet division due to measles symptoms.

During the same period, 68 new measles cases were officially confirmed, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 18,144.

Additionally, 1,004 people exhibited measles symptoms over the last 24 hours, raising the total number of suspected cases nationwide to 146,715.
