12 held in Noakhali residential hotel during DB raid

The District Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested 12 people on allegations of involvement in “immoral activities” during a raid on a residential hotel in in Begumganj upazila of Noakhali.

Both men and women were among those arrested. They are from different areas of Noakhali, Chattogram, Barishal, Sunamganj, Dhaka, and Naogaon districts.

Acting on a tip-off, the District Detective Branch conducted a raid on the Relax Residential Hotel in Chowmuhani Bazar on Thursday. During the raid, the 12 individuals were detained after police allegedly found evidence of their involvement in immoral activities , “said police.

The arrested individuals were later produced before a court after completion of the necessary legal procedures.

Noakhali Superintendent of Police N. M. Nasiruddin said, "regular police operations would continue to keep Noakhali free from drugs and immoral activities.
