Does Taskin know how painful it is to watch a falling star?

Taskin Ahmed first caught attention during the 2013 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Fans still remember wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan Sohan hurting his finger while trying to catch one of Taskin's deliveries. It was striking to see a Bangladeshi pacer generating such pace.

Taskin later established himself as one of Bangladesh's fastest bowlers. He earned recognition around the world for his raw pace, made a strong comeback at different stages of his career and became an example of perseverance for many.

But the Taskin who once regularly bowled at speeds of 145kph or more now appears to be operating around the 125kph mark. Seeing him bowl six no-balls in an innings and concede 17 runs in an over has been difficult for his fans. Even Australia's Nathan Lyon was seen pulling him on a GABBA-like wicket.

Taskin's fans still want to see the bowler who once troubled batters with sheer pace. They hope he works not only on his line and length but also on regaining the speed that was once his biggest weapon.

His ability to beat batters with pace was what made him stand out. His supporters hope that, with hard work, proper planning and consistent training, he can rediscover that strength and once again become the Taskin whose pace made batters uncomfortable.

For his fans, the wait continues. They want to see that fire in Taskin's bowling again.
