5 more die of measles

Five more children died of measles-like symptoms in the last 24 hours ending at 8am Monday, compared with the period from 8am Sunday, taking the fatality toll to 938 since March 15.

A total of 1,232 cases of measles and measles-like symptoms were registered during the 24-hour period. Of them, 83 were diagnosed with measles, while 1,149 were reported to have measles-like symptoms.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the figures in its measles-related report released on Monday.
