The High Court on Tuesday deferred the judgement on the death reference and appeal of Hitu Sheikh in Magura eight-year-old Ayesha rape and murder case to August 31 following a time petition.

An HC bench, comprising Justice Bhishmadev Chakraborty and Justice KM Rasheduzzaman Raja, fixed the new date considering the time plea of the state.
