Dhaka Bank, Visa sign deal to boost digital payments

Dhaka Bank PLC has signed an agreement with Visa, a world leader in digital payments, to accelerate the growth of Dhaka Bank’s Visa card portfolio and strengthen digital payment services in Bangladesh.

The agreement establishes a long-term strategic growth framework covering Dhaka Bank’s consumer and commercial card segments, while driving innovation in new products and services to deliver a seamless customer experience, according to a press release.

Osman Ershad Faiz, Managing Director and CEO of Dhaka Bank PLC, and Sabbir Ahmed, Country Manager for Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh at Visa, exchanged the signed agreement documents.

Among the senior officials present at the event were Md Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director and CEMO of Dhaka Bank PLC; H M Mostafizur Rahaman, SEVP and Head of Retail Business Division, Dhaka Bank PLC; and Arifur Rahman, Director, Business Development, South Asia, Visa.
