
Standard Chartered Bangladesh announced the appointment of Enamul Huque as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 September 2026.
Immediately prior to his appointment as CEO, Enam served as Country Chief Risk Officer and Senior Credit Officer from April 2025, overseeing risk across the Bangladesh franchise; and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and the Bank’s growth ambitions. He also chaired the Bank’s Diversity and Inclusion Council, says a press release.
During his 25 years with Standard Chartered, both in Bangladesh and other markets, Enam has built deep expertise across Local Corporates, Commodity Trading and Agribusiness, Global Subsidiaries and Financial Institutions; while leading strategic client relationships and landmark transactions across diverse sectors.
He served as Co-Chair of the Standing Committee on Capital Markets and Bond at the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) for the 2023 to 2025 term.
Enam holds an MBA from Mount Eliza Business School, Monash University, Australia; and graduate and post graduate degrees from the University of Dhaka.
