438 held in DMP drives across Dhaka

According to the DMP, 33 people were arrested in Ramna division, 30 in Lalbagh, 65 in Wari, 43 in Matijheel, 78 in Tejgaon, 116 in Mirpur, 37 in Gulshan and 31 in Uttara division. One person was arrested by the detective branch of police and four by the CTTC unit.

Police have seized a total of 1055 Yaba tablets, 14 pieces of cannabis, 26 pieces of heroin, nine mobile phones, a cutter BDT 111589 in cash and a fake student ID from their possessions.

Md Akhter Hossain said that the individuals were arrested during the drives conducted in different police station areas of the capital with various items including narcotics.

Legal proceedings against the arresteed are underway, he added.
