Woman hit by state minister’s car dies

A woman injured in a road crash involving the vehicle of State Minister for Public Administration and Food Abdul Bari in Bogura’s Shibganj has died in hospital.

Firoza Begum, 60, passed away at TMSS Medical College Hospital around noon on Friday, Shibganj Police Station chief (OC) Shahinuzzaman said.

The incident occurred around 9am in the Gopinathpur area of the Mokamtala-Joypurhat road.

Police and local residents said Bari was travelling from Dhaka to his Joypurhat-2 constituency when Firoza suddenly came in front of the motorcade.
