Chief Whip of the National Parliament, Nurul Islam Moni, said it is inappropriate for the opposition to launch programmes like a long march before giving the government at least six months to assess its performance amid the country’s economic crisis.
He made the remarks while speaking to journalists at his office in the MP Hostel on Saturday morning.
Moni said the BNP would not launch any counter-programme in response to the opposition’s street activities.
The current crisis and fuel-related problems in the country would be discussed in detail during the ongoing parliamentary session this week, he added.
