176 students with pry scholarship felicitated at Birol

BIROL, DINAJPUR, Sept 5: The Birol Upazila Administration honoured 176 students in a ceremony held at the Upazila Parishad Hall Room on Saturday for receiving primary examination scholarship.

MP for Dinajpur-2 Constituency Sadik Riaz Chowdhury Pinak attended the event as the chief guest.

The students included 69 scholarship recipients selected under the talent pool category and 107 who received general-grade scholarships. They were given fruit tree saplings.

Authorities also distributed 14 bicycles to students from ethnic minority communities and 9 sewing machines to women who had completed sewing training.

In his remarks, MP Sadik Riaz Chowdhury Pinak urged the students to set clear goals, maintain discipline, and develop routines to achieve them.

He also urged parents to monitor their children’s activities and whereabouts and social circles, warning that exposure to drugs could have serious consequences for families.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rezaul Islam chaired the ceremony, which was attended by local education officials, police and community representatives.
