Gas cylinder truck hits covered van on Dhaka-Mawa Expressway

A gas cylinder loaded truck lost control and hit a covered van from behind in Dhaka-Mawa Expressway, Munshiganj, Srinagar, on Thursday early morning. The driver was injured and trapped in the truck.

The incident took place around 3 AM on Dhaka-Mawa Expressway, in the Kamar Khola region, on the Dhaka-bound road.

Two fire service teams arrived at the spot and rescued the trapped driver using their rescue tools.

The injured driver, Azgar Khandaker, 55, from Kashiani, Gopalganj, was taken to Srinagar Upazila Health Complex with an ambulance of fire service.

According to the Fire Service, the truck was travelling from Mongla to Dhaka, while the covered van was coming from Magura.
