PM provides aid to religious institutions in Dhaka-17

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has provided financial assistance to religious institutions in Dhaka-17 constituency, including mosques and temples ahead of Durga Puja.

On Friday afternoon, the prime minister handed over cheques to representatives of the mosques and temples at the BNP chairperson’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka.

Cheques worth Tk 247,000 each were given to 28 mosques in Dhaka-17. In addition, 10 temples received Tk 300,000 each, totalling Tk 3 million, ahead of the Durga Puja celebrations.

The assistance was provided to support the activities of the religious institutions and help ensure smooth arrangements for Durga Puja.
