18 detained in raids on residential hotels in Noakhali

Police have detained 18 people, including six men and 12 women, during raids on two residential hotels in Chowmuhani Bazar of Begumganj upazila, Noakhali, over alleged immoral activities.
Two teams of the district Detective Branch (DB) conducted the raids on Friday night and Saturday morning after receiving information about alleged immoral activities at several residential hotels in Chowmuhani.
Six people�"one man and five women�"were detained from Relax Residential Hotel in Chowmuhani municipality on Friday night.
Another 12 people�"five men and seven women�"were detained from Raj Residential Hotel at Dalia Super Market in Chowmuhani Bazar on Saturday morning.
The detainees, residents of Begumganj, Noakhali Sadar and Hatiya upazilas, were sent to a judicial court around 2:00 PM on Saturday.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Operations) Ahmed Payer said they were sent to court under the Penal Code on charges of public nuisance.
