7 more die of measles

Seven more people died from measles or measles-like symptoms across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll from measles and suspected measles infections to 1,019 since March 15.

The figures were released in a statement issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Saturday.

According to the statement, five of the died while undergoing treatment in Dhaka division while one each died in Chattogram and Khulna division Of the total fatalities recorded since March 15, 919 died with measles symptoms, while 100 deaths were confirmed to have been caused by measles.
