Moulana M A Karim ibn Mosobbir, a former central leader of Hefazat-e-Islam, has called on two factions of Tabligh Jamaat to resolve their differences and reunite ahead of upcoming Biswa Ijtema for a peaceful arrangement of the holy event.
In a statement, Moulana Karim said discrepancies of opinion among Islamic scholars could be a source of mercy, but conflicts that lead to division and factionalism could never be considered a blessing.
Referring to past incidents of violence at the Biswa Ijtema venue in Tongi and inside mosques in different parts of the country, he urged senior leaders of both factions to set aside their grievances, meet with each other and reach an immediate reconciliation.
