Consul general seeks more jobs for Bangladeshis in Dubai

Bangladesh Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates Mohammad Rasheeduzzaman has urged Dubai Taxi Company and Transguard Group to recruit more skilled and professional workers from Bangladesh.

On September 9, the consul general met Ammar Al Buraiki, group chief operations officer of Dubai Taxi Company, at the company’s headquarters in Dubai.

Rasheeduzzaman thanked the company for creating employment opportunities for Bangladeshis and requested increased recruitment of skilled workers from Bangladesh. He also urged the company to improve welfare facilities and benefits for Bangladeshi employees.

The meeting discussed closer cooperation between the consulate general and Dubai Taxi Company to create more employment opportunities and promote the welfare and awareness of Bangladeshi workers.

Following the meeting, the consul general attended an orientation programme for 160 newly recruited Bangladeshi employees, along with officials from the consulate and the company.

He urged the employees to comply with UAE traffic laws and other regulations, exercise caution on social media, send remittances through legal channels, and perform their duties with honesty and professionalism.

The consul general later visited various operations and facilities of Dubai Taxi Company.

On September 10, Rasheeduzzaman met Stephen Beale, head of onboarding at Transguard Group, to discuss ways to streamline and accelerate recruitment of skilled and professional workers from Bangladesh.

Beale said Bangladeshi nationals were working in various positions at the company and had earned a good reputation for their performance.

The consul general thanked Transguard Group for employing Bangladeshi nationals and requested increased recruitment of skilled workers from Bangladesh. He also urged the company to improve welfare facilities and benefits for Bangladeshi employees.

Officials from the Bangladesh Consulate General and the two companies were present at the meetings.
