NATORE, Sept 14: State Minister for the Ministry of Social Welfare Barrister Farjana Sharmin Putul, MP, said that the coming local government election of the country will be held more transparently than any other time in the past.
She said there will be no party symbol in the election. The government will make the management of the local government ministry cent per cent active before the election. Only honest, competent, educated and active candidates will participate in the election as they will be able to rebuild the management of the local government properly.
The state minister said the above words at the monthly meeting of the district law and order situation committee, in the conference room of the DC office on Sunday.
The minister further said, "This government is for the people. People know it well. They believe this government. People have many demands to the government. The government is trying to remove problems. Gradually all problems will be solved."
She said gas, electricity and fuel problems need to be solved immediately. The government realised it and is trying to solve it soon. The Awami League government created this problem badly during their regime, she said.
At the end, she called upon all to co-operate with the government to conduct the country properly.
DC Sumoni Akhter presided over the meeting.
Among others, SP Shariful Haque, Civil Surgeon Moshiur Rahaman, and Member Secretary of BNP district unit Asaduzzaman Asad were present at the meeting.
