Raphinha magic thrashes Santander; secures crushing Barca victory

Barcelona maintained their formidable scoring form in La Liga with a commanding 7-2 victory over newly-promoted Racing Santander at Spotify Camp Nou on Wednesday night, led by a hat-trick from Brazilian winger Raphinha.
João Cancelo opened the scoring for the hosts in the eighth minute with a long-range strike from 25 yards. Raphinha doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute.
Although Racing midfielder Gueye pulled one back in the 30th minute, an own goal by Asier Villalibre in the 36th minute restored Barcelona's two-goal cushion, before Raphinha converted a pass from Dani Olmo in the 42nd minute to send the teams into half-time at 4-1.
Racing Santander managed a second goal through Yaser Zabiri in the 65th minute, but Barcelona quickly responded two minutes later as Raphinha completed his hat-trick with another penalty kick. The performance brought Raphinha's tally to 11 goals in seven appearances across all competitions this season.
Substitute Gabriel Jesus opened his La Liga scoring account in the 79th minute, finishing off a through pass from Lamine Yamal. Yamal, who had an earlier effort ruled out for offside in the 72nd minute, capped the scoring in the 89th minute by converting a cutback from Adeyemi.
The goal marked Yamal's seventh of the domestic campaign and extended his scoring streak to five consecutive matches across all competitions.
The result marks the fifth time in seven matches this season that Barcelona have scored at least five goals, bringing their campaign total to 33 goals scored and seven conceded.
Hansi Flick's side remain top of the La Liga standings with 18 points from six consecutive victories, maintaining a three-point lead over Real Madrid, while Racing Santander remain in tenth place with seven points.
